Gorgeous photo, but my only question is, am I the only one who has a phone that certainly doesn't take tall skinny photos as backgrounds? I have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and if I were to use this photo, at least the top half would get cut off because the wallpaper stretches across multiple home screens. I cant be the only one?

It depends more on your launcher than your phone for an android device. Most stock launchers can't switch between a scrolling and static background. Download Nova Launcher or something similar and you'll be able to keep your wallpaper static.
